2009-2010 Season Schedule (9/2009 - 3/2010)

READ THIS FIRST...
The club, being each of it's skaters, is paying for the ice time scheduled, whether we are ready to start practice or not.  Thus, it is important that skaters arrive as early as it takes for them to be ready when we are allowed on the ice.
Once the Zamboni has finished resurfacing, the safety pads must go out.  The longer it takes to set up safety pads, the less time can be used for practicing.
Every capable adult is needed to assist with getting pads on the ice & also removing pads at the end of a practice.
US Speedskating Sanctioned Meets are listed in black.  For a complete schedule go to the www.usspeedskating.org.  While all meets are optional, we strongly encourage our skaters to attend the meets held in Missouri.  Also Listed are meets within driving distance that many skaters have attended in the past.  Good luck and have a great season!

For a complete, updated list of speedskating meets go to the US Speedskating website:
www.usspeedskating.org
Skaters registered with another club may attend Gateway sessions if space allows.  Contact a board member regarding fees.

Our coaches have specific plans for each practice.  It is in your best interest to consult them prior to arriving at the rink.  Everyone at a Gateway practice must follow the directions of our coaches.

Anyone wanting try speedskating is welcome to come to a novice practice session.
If the skater is under 18 years, a parent must remain at the rink.  The cost is $10 (check, no cash please) and a US Speedskating application must be completed prior to stepping on the ice.  The temporary application enables someone to try speedskating for a 60 day period.

The USS Application is posted on our home page.
